Creating a safe, level entry for a difficult corner.

Stairs, Framing

Before: Uneven entrance with loose pavers, dirt, and overgrown weeds.
The entrance near the side gate was uneven and messy, consisting of loose pavers, dirt, and overgrown weeds. The owners needed a stable, permanent solution to make stepping through the gate safe and easy, without tracking mud into the area.
The ground level dropped away awkwardly from the gate, creating a trip hazard. We needed to build a structure that was perfectly level but fitted tightly into the corner against the uneven brickwork and the boundary fence.
We constructed a solid, box-framed timber staircase using durable treated pine. We designed the steps with wide, deep treads to ensure secure footing and anchored them firmly to the ground to prevent any movement.
The messy, uneven corner has been replaced by clean, sturdy steps. Accessing the property through the front gate is now safe and effortless, with a neat finish that tidies up the entire area.

After: Clean, sturdy steps providing safe and level access through the gate.
